Our mission is twofold:
1) to serve as a resource for helping people find sustainably-raised and traditionally-prepared, clean, nutrient-dense foods, and
2) to create opportunities for members of our community to dine together, share ideas, and learn about food, farming, and the healing arts.
Like all chapters of the Weston A. Price Foundation, we have developed and maintain a Food Resource List of local and regional purveyors of clean, nutrient-dense and traditionally-prepared foods such as small family farms, farmers markets, co-ops, CSAs, and small-scale artisanal food producers. We welcome inquiries about where to find foods raised by traditional, sustainable methods.
We are an active chapter that meets monthly for a potluck dinner and educational event such as a film, workshop, or presentation. We also sponsor field trips and other fun & educational activities. Among our guest speakers you’ll find chefs, farmers, artisanal food producers, holistic health professionals, political activists, homemakers, and many others who all share a common belief: that the key to reclaiming our individual and communal health is to produce, obtain, prepare, and consume clean, nutrient-dense foods by supporting and encouraging a decentralized, ecologically sustainable, locally- and seasonally-based humane food production system, and by honoring the tried and true, delicious and nutritious food preparation methods of our ancestors.
We strive to build a welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring community where anyone can participate in our potluck dinners, share ideas and experiences, and learn and grow with our group.
To learn more about what we do, check out our blog and photo gallery. We also offer a Facebook group where our community members can post inquiries, share information, and learn about upcoming events, including our monthly potluck dinner meetings. For more information about our gatherings, please refer to the Meetings pages in the menu above, and if you’d like to receive meeting reminders, then you’re welcome to join our email list.
Welcome to our community. We look forward to meeting you!
